By written communication dated December 16, 2014 with an effective date of April 11, 2015 Officer Hermann was notified that he was being suspended for 30 calendar days. Specifically the personnel action form states: Suspension — Member was found in violation of Department Regulation 20-2, Article 53 (A) (1) — Neglect of Duty — and member is hereby suspended without pay for fifteen (15) calendar days beginning Saturday, April 11, 2015. Suspension ~ Member was found in violation of Department Regulation 20-2, Article 85 (B) — Report Requirements — and member is hereby suspended without pay for five (5) calendar days beginning Sunday, April 26, 2015. Suspension — Member was found in violation of Department Regulation 20-2, Article 85 (B) — Report Requirements — and member is hereby suspended without pay for ten (10) calendar days beginning Friday, May 1, 2015. Appellant filed a timely appeal within 15 days of receipt of the personnel action form. A public hearing was set for Monday, February 23, 2015 in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Therefore the Civil Service Board will reduce the suspension time by 10 days. In lieu of these 10 days of suspension time, the employee will receive a written reprimand. The final disciplinary action will result in 20 days of suspension as well as a written reprimand.
