Appellant filed a timely appeal within 15 days of receipt of the written reasons for the disciplinary action. A public hearing was held at 5:30 p.m. on August 19, 2019. Mr. Philip Boudousque’, was present to represent the Kenner Police Department. Former Police Officer Gerald Miller was present with his attorney Mr. Ted Alpaugh. Also in attendance was Astra Thibodeaux, Certified Court Reporter, to take a complete transcript of this hearing. The Board feels that the interview that occurred on March 12, 2018 satisfied the employee’s right to a pre-disciplinary meeting.
